Let this sink in:
One in four Coloradans can’t afford basic needs.
A third have dipped into savings or retirement accounts to make ends meet.
About one-in-six have borrowed money from friends or family or visited a food bank.

As pandemic closures continue, more and more of our neighbors are affected.
What BSW is doing to help
BSW is sharing the stage with local businesses and B Corps to help Coloradans afford home energy this season.
Brainchild of Namaste Solar, the Keep the Lights on Colorado campaign has a direct and measurable impact for the people it serves. Our seniors, young families, students, teachers, and service workers should not have to choose between paying for food, medicine, childcare and keeping their heat and lights on, yet they do.
In addition to bill payment assistance and energy efficiency upgrades, Energy Outreach Colorado assists families through subscriptions to community solar gardens. Solar Garden subscriptions provide long-term stability in the form of monthly bill credits that reduce the burden of home energy costs and free up dollars for other basic needs – all while using the cost-saving and environmental benefits of clean solar energy.
With the continued hardship many across our state will face, we are proud to contribute to Keep the Lights on Colorado providing a safe and warm home this holiday season.
