BSW in Our Community: CFS Volunteer Day

January 9, 2017

Make Life Better is embedded in the DNA of our culture. It says something important about who we are and what matters to us, both individually and as a company. Part of that mantra includes serving our community through an annual volunteer effort. This year, we decided to lend a hand to the Community Food Share (CFS) located in Louisville, CO.

HUNGER- 47,000 of our neighbors in Boulder and Broomfield Counties face that reality each day. The CFS is a leader in the effort to improve and enrich our community by ending hunger in our neighborhood. The food collected by CFS is distributed through a network of more than 40 local non-profit organizations as well as onsite at their facility in Louisville. During our volunteer day, we sorted and repacked 5,900 lbs. of food (one pound = one meal)!

The CFS helps improve the lives of our neighbors and we are so pleased to dedicate our time and efforts to the incredible work they do each day. They are always in need of volunteers; it is the lifeblood of their organization. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know and we can connect you to the right people.
