Advisory Team Associate Advisor

This job exists to:

  1. Provide analytical and quantitative support to the firm’s Advisory Group, including:
    • Creation and maintenance of Financial Plans, Investment Proposals, and Investment Policy Statements (IPS) that take into account:
      • Client financial goals and objectives.
      • Client assets and liabilities.
      • Client cash flow needs.
      • Tax considerations.
    • Assist Advisors & Senior Advisors with client tax planning, including creation of Realized Gain / Loss Reports, Income Reports, and Schedule K-1.
    • Evaluate client insurance coverage, needs, and available options.
  2. Help make it a pleasure for clients to work with the firm.

1. Provide analytical and quantitative support to the Advisory Group

  • Assist Advisors & Senior Advisors with client tax planning, including creation of Realized Gain / Loss reports, Income Reports, and private, K-1-producing assets.
  • Evaluate client insurance needs, currant plans, and insurance options.


2. Manage and facilitate timely completion of BSW Advisory Group projects.

3. Execute on your personalized COI Action Plan.

4. Continue to develop personal knowledge base in the area of financial planning.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree, appropriate advanced degrees valued, but not required.
  • The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is required of Advisory-track professionals. Current CFP status is a plus.  Candidates without a CFP will be expected to pursue the credential – for which BSW provides funding and support.

Work Experience:

  • Experience in finance, investments, and planning preferred, but not required.
  • Outstanding references from previous and/or current employers.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
