The CESR Stampede – A Week of Driving Values in Business
The University of Colorado’s Center for Education on Social Responsibility (CESR) will be hosting a full week of dynamic speakers, workshops, panels, classes, and case competitions about applying positive values in a business setting — including CESR’s annual Conscious Capitalism Conference. I can’t say enough good things about the Conscious Capitalism event and the CESR Stampede, which convenes together college students from across Colorado (CU, UC-D, UC-CS, DU, CC, Regis, etc.) with industry professional, non-profit leaders, and the public. As a plenary speaker at last year’s Conscious Capitalism Conference, I can attest that the drive, innovation, and dedication of these motivated and passionate students for tackling social and environmental challenges with business smarts and tactics is incredible, humbling, and an experience you don’t want to miss!
In addition to the one-day Conscious Capitalism Conference (Wednesday, April 17th), the week’s keynote address (5pm on Thursday evening, April 18th) on will be delivered by Time Magazine’s 2002 Person of the Year – Cynthia Cooper. Cooper led a small team of internal auditors to uncover $3.8 billion in accounting fraud at WorldCom and courageously blew the whistle on the corruption and deception. Cooper will come to the University of Colorado to discuss ethics, leadership, and overcoming adversity.
All events are FREE and open to the public, but do require prior registration. For complete details and to register, please visit the CESR Stampede webpage here — and see you there!!!
